💡 About the Role
As an Automation QA Engineer at Trackian, you will play a critical role in safeguarding product quality across a data-heavy, analytics-driven SaaS platform. You will design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks, working closely with backend and frontend engineers to ensure stable releases and scalable quality processes.
This is a hands-on role with real impact: you will help define QA standards, improve test coverage, and embed quality deeply into our development lifecycle.
🔥 What You’ll Do
✅ Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for web applications (UI, API, and integration levels).
✅ Build and evolve automation frameworks for regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
✅ Test complex data-driven workflows, dashboards, and analytics logic.
✅ Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and edge cases.
✅ Perform API testing (REST) and validate data integrity across systems.
✅ Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis.
✅ Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable releases.
✅ Contribute to improving QA processes, test strategies, and quality standards across the company.
🎯 Who You Are
Required experience:
✅ 3+ years of professional experience in QA, with a strong focus on test automation.
✅ Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Puppeteer.
✅ Solid experience testing web applications (frontend + backend/API).
✅ Experience with API testing (REST, JSON, status codes, contracts).
✅ Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals (test design, test levels, defect lifecycle).
✅ Experience working with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
✅ Ability to work with structured and unstructured data-heavy systems.
✅ Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
✅ Good communication skills and fluent technical English.
Preferred (Bonus points!):
🌟 Experience testing SaaS or B2B platforms.
🌟 Familiarity with Node.js-based backends.
🌟 Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript for test automation.
🌟 Knowledge of performance or load testing tools.
🌟 Experience validating analytics, reporting, or BI-style interfaces.
🌟 Exposure to Docker and containerized environments.
