One order in six never reached Google Analytics. We found where they were lost, and the fix is going in now.

What was wrong
Revenue in Google Analytics was always lower than in the shop's own books. Nobody knew by how much, or why.
We matched the shop's August order list against Analytics, order by order. 341 orders never arrived: 16% of the month, worth 13,590 EUR. Almost all of them came from Chrome on Android or from the browser inside the Instagram and Facebook apps.
What we did
On those browsers the thank-you page closes before the purchase event is sent. Trackian wrote the fix as a short task list for the shop's developer: the exact event, where it fires and how to check it.
What changed
Nothing has changed yet. The developer is applying the fix now, and we will add the after number here once a full month has run with it.
Where the numbers come from
Read from the customer's own shop and Google Analytics, with their permission. The order list was matched order by order. The customer is not named.
